The puzzle of the day: a brain teaser to solve every day
Published October 16, 2026.
Solving one puzzle a day has become a ritual for many players. Daily Box offers its own: one puzzle box per day, identical for everybody, renewed at midnight in your time zone.
This guide explains how the daily appointment works: difficulty through the week, the streak, the stars and ways to catch up on a missed day.

A different box every day
The daily box is drawn in advance and released at midnight. It follows a curve: short and approachable early in the week, longer and harder from Wednesday to Friday, then the most demanding at the weekend, with boxes hidden inside the box. A visual theme changes every week, and the big holidays of the year have their own decor.
Everyone gets the same puzzle, so you can talk about it without spoiling anything and compare your time.
Stars, streak and cogs
Your time earns one to three stars. Each day you finish extends your streak and earns cogs. Mistakes and hints add time: not a punishment, just an honest clock.
An optional account keeps your progress from one computer to another; without one, you can start playing right away.
Missed a day?
The archives gather every past box in a calendar. You can catch up on a missed day, with no effect on the streak, or replay a box you already opened. If your streak was broken the day before, a rescue offer lets you pick it back up.
The “Just for fun” section also offers boxes to play freely when you want to keep going.
How to improve
Regularity matters more than speed. Read the guides by mechanism, practise with the tutorials and let the notebook hold what you do not want to remember. Each week the method sets in faster.
Practise in the game
The game's tutorials, with no clock and no penalty, let you practise this subject:
